Hi Everyone!
Well, my name is John Mather, I'm 18 years old, and I have been using 3d programs for around eight years now. The first part of my adventure started with one of the first versions of good 'ol Bryce. After a few years, I wanted to try some other things, so I moved on to Cinema 4D for a while before moving on to Maya.
I probably started to take 3D seriously when I watched the work of Steven Giesler, Francisco Cortina, and all the other guys over at Square Pictures, in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, which still remains to be one of my favorite movies. After that, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
I have received a gold medal from the Skills Canada 3D Animation competition in 2006 at the regionals, and came in 6th place in the provincials, with my sister as my partner, many thanks go out to her!
Now before I go, I just wanted to thank everyone that has helped me get to where I am today. Jason Edwards, Chris Downs, My friends and Family, My two crazy dogs, and everyone else that has helped me get to where I am today.
